Judge Threats are Foolhardy

The Gagging of a Show Off

By Harry M. Covert

I noted a few weeks ago that the SWAT-ting of a political gadfly, that is Roger Stone, was an embarrassment to cops of all designations. I’ve changed my mind.

It may have been overkill for the swashbuckling raid in his Florida residence. But, I’ve been in on such maneuvers. They were fun.

Once a miscreant climbed to the attic trying to hide from the law. His giveaway were foot marks on a freshly painted side wall.

The fellow refused to respond to calls to surrender. One of vigilantes, really a sheriff’s deputy, saw his cell phone lying on the living room coffee table.… Read More

Election 2018: Bananas and Wrong Predictions

‘Transparency in a democracy will only confuse people.’

Sir Humphrey Applebee, “Yes, Prime Minister”

By Ladson F. Mills III

I love bananas, but not in my republic.

America’s descent into the world’s largest Banana Republic will unlikely occur at the hands of an outlandish, bemedaled, military

strongman. America’s decline will come in the shape of a sterile, formal, courtroom carefully crafted with trappings of legality.

Lawsuits and litigation are a critical component to the Democratic Party’s election strategy. Democrats believe that what cannot be won though elections can be obtained through a leftward leaning judiciary. And the consequences to the country be damned.… Read More

AMERICA’S THIRD REVOLUTION

Predatory Opportunist versus Warrior Women

It’s not rocket science; it’s just standards.’

Kate Germano, Lt. Col. USMC, Retired

By Ladson F. Mills III

America’s third revolution has begun. We are firmly in a cultural war and all that remains to be seen is whether it will remain bloodless. However, if left unchallenged it will become more vicious and brutal than the French Revolution; known for its cultural insanity.

Predatory opportunism now dominates American society. Like a violent strain of virus it permeates every aspect of our lives. No mistakes, wrong ideas, or youthful indiscretions can be forgiven if one is judged to be on the wrong side of the political spectrum.… Read More

DESTROYING THE AMERICAN WAY

The Rise of the Hammer & Sickle

By HARRY M. COVERT

here’s no denying insidious movements to destroy basic American traditions are well at work. Alarming signs are everywhere, disaster looms and, frankly, danger is disguised as political resistance. I’m beginning to wonder if the education profession has totally forgotten its duty to teach traditional history. How about Americanism, the Five Freedoms.

No, I’m not going off half-cocked. Many people, young and old alike, have lost their way and think they know best. It matters not a whit how many tattoos or piercings moderns like to decorate themselves. But, it does advertise beliefs and thoughts.… Read More

ENFORCING THE LAWS

Priceless Images of Crying Babies

By HARRY M. COVERT

picture is worth a thousand words. Most certainly since photographs began to be featured in newspapers around in the beginning of the 1900s. Then came the avalanche of images on film and every type of video equipment of today. It follows that then came a photograph for the good of journalism, recorded for the first time, the electric chair execution of a New York woman murderer, Ruth Snyder, January 28, 1928, at Sing Sing Prison.

The picture appeared on The New York Daily News front page, the headline “DEAD.” Shocking!

This leads to the images flaunted on big screens and iPhones of little children crying for their mommies and held in anchor-type cages.… Read More

THE COMING SILENT MAJORITY AWAKENING

By Harry M. Covert
I’ve given lots of thought to the ongoing pusillanimous barrage to rename everything from history. Thugs on the streets across the country, a bunch wearing black masks and clothes have literally gotten out of hand. And, if my guess amounts to anything, average people across the land are going to have their bellies full soon and the mindless so-called protesters will have their comeuppance.

While most good citizens are lifting prayers to the Almighty and government at all levels are helping with the weather tragedy in Texas, the anti-fascists have gotten completely out of hand.

The matter of free speech is no longer the issue.… Read More

A VISIT TO MR. HOOVER’S GHOST

The Nattering Nabobs Still Busy

By Harry M. Covert

he current bumptiousness ongoing among the nation’s elite – the know-it-all’s – is something to behold and brings more cause to be concerned about the country’s health.

Relax, friends. No matter what the “nattering nabobs” of today are blathering, there’s no constitutional crisis or Tuesday night massacre.

Stirring the political pot continues and likely will. The late great speechwriter and newspaper columnist William Safire is remembered for that wonderful “nattering” quote.

Actually to put everything in perspective today, the big issue is simple. Will the Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles reach baseball’s World Series at the same time?… Read More

BANNING REFUGEES FROM ENTERING THE U.S. IS EASY

Consular Officers Need Only Use  Rubber Stamps, DENIED

By Harry M. Covert

dmittedly, humanoids have a tendency to talk and talk. When applause and attention grow, orations are louder and louder. The point here is that troubles arise when promises become loud and louder but become wearying.

Could this be more evident than the national harangue over the rewritten immigration rules flailing around from the most powerful office in the world?

President Trump initiated a ban on refugees shortly after his enthroning (amid pomp and circumstance). Immediately, opponents seized on objections. It remains a lightning rod. Federal judges rebuked the rookie president.… Read More
